Take lots of liquid diet like butter milk, sugarcane juice, vegetable soups, fresh fruit juices.

Avoid junk, canned, bakery and spicy food speciall cold drinks.

take light diet.

Rx
Start with

- Syrup Neeri 3 tsf twice a day
- gokhshur guggal 2 -2 tab

trimethoprim, cephalosporins, caphalosporins...5 days for adults orally.

some relief...

there is no ayurvedic remedy I know of but there are some relief techniques...
cranberry juice will help your kidneys flush out toxins
Try to wash yourself clean after bowel movements and don' t wipe from back to front, always front to back.
Practice good hygiene using soap and water.
Drink a lot of fluids hopefully water.
And after sexual intercourse always try to urinate and clean the area.

Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)- its a bacteria so the best way to get rid of them is a antibiotic course of three days.
