Hi everyone

I have had the most irritating problem for the last 4 days, and it doesnt seem to leave. I have a constant itch in the throat- to get relief from the same I have cough really hard (almost frm the stomach). and it is CONTINUOUS. even when I breathe, the air that goes in makes my throat itch. it especially gets heightened when I lie down, because of which i have not been getting enough rest. The doc has only prescribed an ayurvedic cough syrup, which gives me reliefonly for a max of 5 minutes. Anyone has any solution for this?
The other problem i have been having is a throbbing headache. Seems like a migrane because light and sounds aggravate it. I have never had migranes before infact i hardly get headches. For this also, the doc has said if it gets unbearable, have a Crocin.Any home rememdies for this?

I am new on this board ,presently 17 weeks pregnant ,well lalitha I had similar problem with cough (persistent and very hard)and throat pain for the last one week and tried all the possible home remedies from ginger honey to salt in black tea however my cough just refused to go and I was feeling more worried coz my stomach would literally shake like hell , I consulted my gynac and told her my whole story she prescribed me medicine which i was reluctant to take however she said it is safe, i took it on her assurance and feeling much better now...try consulting your doc and hope u get weel soon too Madhu replied. I have been getting these headaches on and off many times. Its like an continuous headache which won' t stop for as long as a day or two sometimes. But I somehow bear it by applying ointments on the forehead like balm. Also, I avoid loud sounds and unbearable lights and keep lying down most of the time.

My doctor ha also told me to take a mild Tylenol tablet when the pain aggravates and is unbearable but I still avoid them. Sometimes during such headaches I get vomiting sensations and after vomiting it gets a little better. But I think there is no solution for headaches just have to bear it to avoid taking any medications. I have also heard that when the stomach is upset one can develop headaches too.
