C-Section:Need opinions on Early c-section

Name: Amour

I am expecting my 2nd child..due date is dec 29th. My earlier delivery was a c-section and this time too it will be the same as I have a narrow passage. I want to have my baby by end of nov due to some personal reasons. Need some opinions here. Will it ok for the baby? Will the baby miss out on any development in the 9th mth? Is it safe? Pls comment..

Hi Amour... your Gynaecologist knows the best but i think it' s best if your baby can finish the entire term. There r many premature births happening around including my kid' s and most of them needed little extra care initially....U plan to deliver almost a month early. I personally wouldn' t do that.U never know what complications ur early-baby may encounter as they r more prone to infections, besides there r so many issues to worry abt as whether baby' s lungs have developed fully? Will the baby have right birthweight? Will the baby be kept in the incubator n for how long? etc.Babies are very delicate and one' s born earlr r even more...Pls ask ur doctor b4 taking any chances. I' m sure u must be having some valid reasons for doing this but baby' s gestational period of 9 months is there for a reason too. All the Best.

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
