Hi Friends,
I found this website while i am browsing for the head shave information. My hubby has an vow of offering hair at tirumala to lord. Now it is the time to offer our hair and fulfill his vow. I am tense now as the days are coming we are planning the trip this saturdayi.e 8th march kindly help me and boost me up. Any body share their experience of head shave in tirumala. Iam very much tense to offer my knee length strong thick hair o which not even a single sicsssor from my child hood.. Pl. help me out.

this is sagarika who is in the same situation like you in the last year. but me and my hubby want to get our heads shave on our first marriage day as our jurney tickets conformed the tension started in mind that how to get shave my head. while i combing my hair so much distabance in my mind. so iam getting very fear even to comb my hair.so boost up my mind to get peaceful shave as u have already passed that situation.and please explain me ur feelings before,after and while shaving?

I have tonsured my hair which is more than knee length in tirupathi. Now I am happy with my tonsured head. It is a great feeling to offer hair to god any where, not only in tirupathi

As we planned to tirupathi we reached there on 8th March. Directly we went to the hill and taken the cottage as it was booked earlier. Taken breakfast. and directly went to kalyanakatta for head shave of our both. I was so tense abt that and fear my hubby is giving some moral support though i am not convinced. but it is inevitable, we both went inside and taken tickets first my husband stood in the queue near his no. and tonsured. Then we moved to the other room where there is separate room form lasdies and children to tonsure their heads. There i saw may women tonsuring I found one of my ex collegue standing after tonsuring she has given some moral support. there we can see both the male and female barbers. my Number is with a male barber. I sat in front of him he has loosen my waist length hair and poured some water on the head and did some massage and after that he has separated the hair into two parts and tied into two parts then he changed the blade and started shaving i was so tense the sound came SZZZZZZZZZZ... frist he has shaven from the back upto the neck and later turned my head to right to shave on the left side he completes the left side shave the total bun of hair has fallen on my lap then he completes the right side shave then total my hair is on my lap. then he has given a smooth shave once over my head upto the chin. then it is completed he said to get up i got up rubbing on my smooth head my hubby said that I am gorgeous and more beautiful. It is a wondeful exprience of head shave.

dont be scared it will be a wonderful experience,and its a matter of only few months after that ur long hairs wil be back , not at all feel shy to tonsure rather u should feel proud to offer ur hair, and i am sure this will be an great feeling in u for performing tonsure at tirupati i wish happy journey bye reply me
