Due Date Club April 2007:for saradha

Name: hello

Hi Saradha

Im from Mar board.I happen to read your reply to Sathya' s birth story and I thought if I might be of any help. You want a VBAC,right?I do not know how many OBs in India support VBAC. You do a lot of reading and research and talk facts to your OB. Why was your first delivery done by c section? Was it elected or emergency? Analyze as much info as possible and start your research from there. If you have your mind set on VBAC ,try to talk to your OB into it and get her views.
And about husband being present during labor, one of my collegues was present during his wife' s delivery in Isabell hospital. Also I read sometime back in IP that one couple spoke to the dean of the hospital and got his consent for the father to be present.Try talking to your OB and your hospital.HTH and GL

dear hello,

contd...

Then at 7 am we went to meet our gynao and she shouted at me (bcos of care and concern) y i didnt call her at 3 am itself.

then she asked me to go for scan to test whether lil one is still alive and we all go our breathe back only after that confirmation in the ultrasound scan.

then i was under total bed rest till completion of 13 weeks. didnt even attend my siter in laws wedding. poor hubby - even during marriage he was running between the choultry and my place just to ensure i am fine and i dont miss him.

then after that i started coming to office - but only by cab and till date i am travelling only by cab. but for office and home - i dont go out anywhere.

in 10th week scan - the blood clot disappeared. still i was asked to be precautious. then in 22nd weeek scan - i was reported to hv low lying posterior placenta - grade ' 0' .

so more likely chances of C-Section. and since i had initial vaginal bleeding and later with low lying placenta - we hv been good couples right from aug mid.

i was also asked not to do exercises. and finally with gods grace - in the scan taken on feb 18 - after completion of 32 weeks - my placenta (posterior) has moved upto grade II maturity.

so now i hv open chances of VBAC like any other pregnant women. and after 32 weeks my lil one weighs 2.2 kg. reg delivery - i thought i will ask my gynao on march 6th (9th month check up)abt my hubby being nearby me during delivery.

sorry - i hv posted such a long story of mine. then when is ur due date as per ur latest scan? how r u feeling as the days r coming closer?

i shall definitely pray that u shd hv a safe delivery and a healthy baby dear.

with luv and affn

had happened I guess.Since you said you wnated a VBAC ,I assumed this is your second baby.VBAC stands for vaginal birth after C section. If its your first baby, then its vaginal birth ,not VBAC.Im happy you´ re having a healthy pg despite a not so happy start.Im keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Im in my 36th week n waiting to complete 37 ,so the baby is full term.My EDD is now 03.19.
Take care and GL

dear hello

i know u da. i hv read all ur postings in march board. thanx a ton for ur concerrn da. btw, this is my first pregnancy.

i shall tell u my case history. actually for 2 months from june 20 to aug 20, i had joined my hubby at abudhabi on a loss of pay. even thou he works in chennai - he was posted there for an assgt. initially the assgt was for a short span and then it got extended - actually he had to be there totally for 9 months - in which he took 2 breaks of 2 weeks and came to india.

we got married in june 2005. and when i joined him at abudhabi i had conceived there. July 6th was my LMP. i was not aware that i was on my family way. i thought since it was extreme summer there, i didnt get my periods in august. (Normally i hv regular cycles).

we both came around august 3rd week for my sister in laws marriage fixed on aug 31st. since he is the only sibbling of his sister we had to do lot of shopping. so i climbed 5 floors and toured around chennai in his bike.

in the meantime i started having bleeding - but very lightly - doesnt even require pads. so took an appt with my current gynao to assk y my periods suddenly is not regular. by the time it was 44 days. she asked me whether i hv symptoms of morning sickness. i said \" No\" . and since i had bleeding i never doubted that i am on my family way. However both me and my hubby wanted to hv our lil one at the earliest.

my doc asked me to go for urine test. as it was sunday evening - all the labs were closed. so she asked to do strip test at home and to our pleasant surprise and happiness - the results came positive.

then went for a scan the same evening - and confirmed that i was pregnant. we were so happy. but my happiness could not extend even for 3 more days. on 49th day, at around 3 am in the morning - i had severe cramps in my belly. i could neither sit, stand or lie down. my hubby didnt know how to comfort me.

as we stay in a joint family, i asked my hubby to wake up my mother in law. but in the next 5 min - i got bleeding like regular periods.

so my MIL almost came to a conclusion that its a miscarriage and was trying to mentally prepare to accept the fact - so sweet of her. but my hubby alone had a strong belief that nothing would happen to our lil one.

ok - this board doesnt allow to send more - ill post the remaining as part - II.

thanx for ur patience.

with luv & affn
