I am in my 6th month. I have been feeling pain in pelvic region when I change position, like when i get up after sitting for even an hour or so. I also feel sharp pain when I roll on the bed at night. Has anyone of you felt this. What can be possible remedy for this. Pls help. Is it going to create problem during delivery.

Hi,

I have a similar problem, when I checked with my Doc she said its becoz of the growing baby and pressure on the ligaments so will just have to get used to it. I have started walking regularly and initially the pain increased at night while shifting position but now its better although its still there.

Nothing to worry I too had this starting 6-7 month till delivery. Its nromal because your ligaments are stretching to accomodate the growing baby. need not worry. try some simple exercises if possible, else also ok.
But dont rretrict ur movements because of this.. try to be as normal as possible
All the best to u guys !!

Hi Divya,

even I am experiencing similar pain..rolling on the other side is very painful..and this has been since last 1.5-2months now. My Doc said that as the weight of the uterus increases it gives pressure on the pelvic floor muscles. You can do some pelvic floor exercises to reduce the pain. This is pretty normal in pregnant ladies and it wont create difficulty in ur delivery. In my case it aggraveted due to calcium deficiency also.

You can search on google for pelvic floor exercises. But I would suggest that speak to your doctor before starting any exercises. Its good to inform your doctor what you want to start. Take care..and keep us posted with ur progress
