Due Date Club October 2009:Weight Gain Issues

Hi,

I understand putting on too much weight is the last thing we should be worried about during pregnancy. But I dread my doctor because with my first pregnancy (I put on 16-17kgs) every month I had to listen to her lecture of how its not good for the baby and me etc. (They suggest a 9-12kg gain)
During this pregnancy, I have already gained 2.5kgs in a month, and meeting the doc in a week' s time. I was not too fat to begin with (55kgs at 5' 4\" a month ago).. should I really control my weight rise (I love dry fruits I guess that is the culprit.. I bring quota for a week to office and finish it in 2 days!!! And bananas can eat them without feeling sick) or should I just enjoy very few foods that I can stand (and not bother much about weight gain). I did lose all my first pregnancy weight, so not really worried about getting in shape later.

Girls please help!

I also gained more weight than what i should have the first time around, then i had to force myself on a diet since i was diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks, so this time, i am trying to watch what i eat and not indulge myself too much in sweets and deserts (which are my sore points :-) ..)

i am not sure if there is one right answer to this , but i think we would be better off watching how much weight we gain , a few pounds here and there , i am sure , will not matter ..:-)

What to carry to hospital
Ladies,

I have my color doppler due next week, is it done for you all?

How will the list look like for items that we need to carry to the hospital? If I am asking my husband, he is fully ready with his camera and camcorder, but we do not quite have a clue for the MORE necessary items :).

Need help!

Love,
