Due Date Club January 2005:Hi gals...

Hi dear friends,

How are all of you doing? I am not doing that great since the last 2 weeks. Have been having awful migraines and now is fever and cold. Had to actually come back from work kal and of course dont feel like working today.
I have been reading all your posts and keep thinking I will reply so here I am...
Raj and Sush- tum dono ka dukh bhara post parkar I laughed so much! Sid and Tia are too cute! And believe me they are totally normal kids too! Yes, these kids have reached their terrible two's a bit too early..
Here is what Rishu does. He thinks he is a BIG MAN and he has to do everything himself. We cannot help him with anything at all as he considers that degratory! He climbs up and down the stairs by himself and nope, we cannot hold his hands. Pehle utarte samai, ghoom kar slide maarta tha upar se neeche (ie on his tummy) and that used to kill me, now he stands and comes down the stairs. Ab to yeh stage hain ki I dont even stand there any more as he grunts like a pig so I let him be. He jumps from one sofa to the other easily and loves it. Mind you beech mein coffee table and side table hain, but who cares? HE can easily break his head one day on the hard wood table but he is fearless. He climbs all the chairs of the dining table and gets on the dining table and throws everything on there, on the floor. In short nothing is safe from him. SO then to stop him we decided to move the chairs away from the table so that he couldnt at least reach the table from the chair-but saheb peeche thori hatenege. He actually pushed the chair back to the table and then climbs the chair on to the table. And say if he is not in that mood, he simply climbs the chair and stands n swings himself on the arm of it and loses balance and falls and then screams! Dare that I close the cap of the sippy cup, he rolles over on the floor, patkoes his legs and screams as if I am trying to murder him. I cant empty the dishwasher as he climbs into the diswasher and throws everything out and all the kitchen cabinets are unsafe now. HE will take out all my Rajma and Chola tins and make a pyramid of them and then kick them. He also climbs the trash can (we have the big metal waala which he cant reach now) by climbing on the window and then topples it. So we have had trash emptied into the kitchen by him a few times...the list in endless..
he had bad temper tantrums and ignores us when we scold him. HE cries and cries when we scold him harder as usse sab samajh mein aata hain. Ek number ka shatial hain.
Another big prob is that he alwasy prefers his dad to me. He looks thru me and wants dad to do everything. Even when he is in pain he wants daddy. Simple eg happened this Sun-Puneet had gone golfing and Rishu woke up looking for him. He came to our bedroom cries and looked at me and his crying became worse..he wasnted daddy. He actually went over to dad's side of the bed and use wahan apne haath fere, no dad so went and checked in bathroom and then office all the while screaming Da Da and ignoring my attempts to pacify him. Then he actually picked up a photo frame and before I knew it smashed it on the floor and took the pic which has me and Puneet on it and just pointed at Puneet and kept saying Dada dada. What is this? Cant take it anymore...do any of you face this. And i am the one who does everything for him!
He is so defiant that its not even funny...

Baby#2-we want another one surely and Puneet has been ready for months now. But we cant have one yet due to some health concerns of mine that we need to take care of. Plus as you all now Rishu doesnt eat or sleep yet so we need to fix that too. When I read the food schedule of your babies I was so ashamed as Rishu doesnt even eat 1/4 of all that. He is terrible. In fact aaj uska allergist ke saath appt. hain so we will see what he says.

Brushing-Rishu loves the paste on it so I let him have that as many time he wants it. Kabhi mood aata hain to usse karwa bhi deti hun brush but not all that regularly. But at least he know and says 'brrushh brrushh'', which is cute!

Vitamins- Doc says he doensnt need any. He said recc Flouride drops which we have stopped giving too as its too much of a pain! Accha remember India mein bolte the ki agar nails mein white lines ho to that indicates Calcium defiecieny, do you guys know if that is true. I am worried as Rishu has that on his nails too. Please let me know ok...

Baaki to life chal rahi hain yuhi..
Kaam se akker thak jaati hun and life has become routine. I think I am ready for a vacation. We went swimming Sat and Sun so that was exciting. Rishu dear decided to jump out of his float as he so wants to swim and daddy is proud of it. So I will have to get him some other floating device I think. I have put on 8 freaking lbs after joining work as I no longer have to run after Rishu all day and just sit here on my bum! I am so upset. I am trying to walk at lunch. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Chalo then, 20 minute se type kar rahi hun, ab haath dukh raha hain but I just had to write today. There were so many things I wanted to say to my dear friends..

Bye guys and all my love Reena
PS: I agree with Raj and Vani that our babies are no longer babies, they are boys and girls now with their own individaul identify. Its fun to see how they are shaping up. oof, Rishu ko bahut gussa hain aur bahut focused and ziddi hain. Lekin aajkal kaafi affectionate ho gaya hain, he will give hugs and kissies all the the time. He teachers say he knows how to charm his way out of lunch time and sleep time. Thank god, he is well adjusted to day care now..
God, see I started writing again..I just cant stop today..bye once again loadsa love CHATIAL KI MA!

Dear Reena
I think you have made up for all the time you had not been writing :) Loved Rishu's antics and I really really wonder where he gets all the energy from. I sincerely wish he starts eating and sleeping. Does he still sleep in a seperate room? Is he ok by himself? Rishi still turns in the middle of the night and then sleeps on the top of me/Shyam.

But even Rishi is daddy's child. If Shyam's at home he will only be with him. I am there only to clean his susu/kaka (Shyam still makes a fuss about doing them). He cries so loudly as if I pinched him when I pick him up from Shyam and he cries when shyam goes to office too. And he is so attached to my sis too. They are just taking us for granted, they know we are always there and dads are not and thats the difference! :) I am just consoling myself!!!

We are moving to Chennai... Shyam's promoted and moving there, so I will also join Chennai office in support, so will be fun for Rishi to have all relatives near-by. I am happy for him since he can have both grand parents to take care of him.

Chalo, lots of work, will mail you later. Take care of your health dear. I would advice you to quit job, send Rishu to day care and take ample rest for a few days.

Love to self and Rishu
Vani
