Skin Talk:Black Patches on the Forehnd

I have some black patches on my forehands. I got these patches after using the Latex Hand gloves, which I used for cleaning vessels.. I don't have any itching problem but only the patches. I just want to get rid of them. I am very fair and it looks very ugly on my hands. Due to our financial situations, we can't visit a doctor... So, please try to understand my problem..and help me with some home remedies. I am applying veseline in the morning and coconut oil in the evening. I hope what i am doing is right, if not, please let me know.
Thanks

Hi there,
I read your post and I was thinking about the home remedies I use.

Here is a question...
Is the dark patch a different texture than the rest of your hand or is it the same? The reason for my asking is that if it's a rougher texture, I think you should start rubbing a solution of sugar and any oil you have into that area. It will slowly soften that area and the dark patch will go away within time...it should not take too long.

Powder your hands well before placing the gloves on. It will help a little bit.

If your hands are the same texture, even on the darker area, you need to go ahead and use some lemon juice and sugar...make a paste and rub it in. Do this as often as you'd like, at least once every other day...be careful when using sugar (grandulated sugar, not powder) to avoid rubbing too hard, you will irritate the skin.

If you want to get faster results, buy some fairness cream. Apply it twice a day and protect your hands from the sun afterwards.

Best wishes,
Nina

Thanks for the response.

We use Mountain High Plain yogurt (It's not fat free....)Can I use that for my hands? I also have some Tulasi powder, got it from Indian stores...Can I apply that?

In your previous response, you were referring to the fairness cream....Which cream do you suggest me to apply on the hands. Daily I am applying coconut oil....Please clarify all my doubts.....

Thank you very much.

Hi,
I want to tell you that lemon juice from a fresh lemon is safe to use on the skin. It is used in many home remedies, but if you are unsure, dilute the lemon juice with equal parts of water.
About the sugar, I was referring to the grandulated type, it's a coarser texture of sugar. I just recalled that in India, powder sugar is the standard type.

In that case, since it's difficult to find that sugar I mentioned, I would say to also try plain yogurt. I forgot to mention that before...that is safe and it's easy to come by.

Let me know how it works.
:)
Bye

Thanks for the response.

I have an even texture on the hands, I mean soft.... I have sugar (powder ones)
What is this grandulated sugar? Are you sure we can apply the mixture of lemon and sugar to the affected area....I am so scared to use lemon on the skin....
Please clarify????
