hey saniya!

my problem is i have a dark neck.. in contrast to a fair complexion. it looks odd and makes it seem as if i have layered my face in white powder to make myself look fair.

its not THAT dark.. but it is dark in relation to the face (if u know what i mean!).

Jo Prabhu replied. You may want to think about what caused your dark skin around the neck. It could be hereditary or it could also be due to clothing that you wear too tightly around your neck. It could also be a medical skin condition which you most certainly need to consult with your dermatologist.
You can use home made remedies which are very mild and harmless although the results are questionable, or you can use lightening products with low AHA or BHA which actually cause the skin to peel away on a regular basis, creating a new skin which is always lighter. I use these products all the time.
But always protect your face,neck and body and NEVER go out in the sun without Sun block.

Good luck! Hope this helps. saniya replied. ur concern regarding ur neck is absolutely valid.u should always take care of the neck as u do of ur face since its no use having a lovely face but a dull,wrinkled neck..it will spoil the beauty of ur face.
coming to ur problem,r u sure u wash ur neck well?do u apply whatever u apply on ur face on ur neck as well?if not,plss start doing it as soon as possible.use lemon on ur neck and scrub it well with a honey and oatmeal home made scrub.oatmeal will exfoliate and remove the dead cells in case u have been neglecting ur neck and honey will provide nourishment.once every 15 days,use lemon juice and sugar scrub.rub it gently and smoothly..do not be harsh!until the sugar granules melt.leave it on for about 2 minutes and rinse it off.moisturise ur neck daily with a good moisturiser.i highly reccommend st,ives aloe vera lotion.also,rub papaya,if possible on ur neck.u may or els,consider using potati juice..it will make it fair.
in the end,best of luck!be determined and be patient.nothing works like magic unless its harmful!give urself time and space..time for the remedies to work,and space,for urself to adjust.good luck and take care!avoid exposure to the sun as well!
