Health Issues:Right time for potty training

I am quite confused about the right age for potty training. My baby is one & half year old. I am trying to get him to sit on his potty, but he doesn't like to sit on it. He cries uncontrollably. Actually from when he was about a year, he had the habit of standing in privacy & doing his toilet. So now since I want him to use his potty, he just doesn't sit on it. How can I get him to do it? My husband tells me not to force him otherwise he just won't learn. Is he right?

YOur hubby is right. I tried my son before 2. He is now 4 and still not trained...I am very frustrated. JUst wait until he is ready.

The best time for Potty traing is 2 1/2. That when I trained my Son. It was only 1 month that took for potty traingin. Also if u are working mom. Take a week from work and it will help.
