Hope you all get better soon. It really is so nice to hear from you. You're too kind with your words but I am not sure about the supermom thing.
Reena you were asking what kind of contracting I am doing. My previous employer needed someone to fill in for a temporary 8 week stint. I am replacing one of the gals that used to work for me while she's on maternity leave. Since I had implemented the whole system and trained this girl, I suppose I was their first choice. I told them I would only do what I could within the hours that Vrisa napped in the day and if Bharat could watch her on the weekend, then I could probably do some stuff then. I am basically contracting with them, charging them by the hour and also for time and mileage if I have to go into the office and I get to take Vrisa with me. They agreed so I am doing this for now. It's nice, I must admit, doing something that doesn't involve kiddie things and also thode paise miljaate hain...
The timing worked out for me because by the time the contract ends, I will be in my last trimester and probably not very willing to do it. Dekhte hain... I am very good friends with the girl who is on maternity leave so it's like a small family there.
What field are you both in? I found that the best way to get contracts is through networking and contacts. At least that is the best way so far that I have seen in the accounting and finance field.
