Miscarriage and Child Loss:Archie and all - Milk after termination

I am at 18 weeks and will be having an induction due to fetal demise. I have read that the milk can still come in after a few days. Can anyone suggest what I can do to stop it?

I will be very grateful for any help. Aarti

really sorry to know about the unfortunate event....but this is life...and u have to move on.
i too lost my son 13 days after he was born so i can understand ur feelings.....
god is there and he sure has something good in store for u! just beleive in him.
aarti....u will have to take injections for stopping milk flow...but even after that u will have milk oozing out for some days...so dont try to take out that milk and pour cold water over it...dont pour warm water cos that will give u more milk and more trouble....
just keep in mind that no lumps should form in the breast.....
it will settle down soon....
all the best for future!

Hi Ash,

I am sorry that I did not notice your message earlier. I was able to control the milk by wearing two bras. Also, I controlled my fluids. I have been drinking sage tea as suggested by the nurses. They no longer recommend any injections and pills for it.

The physical discomforts are much less than the emotional. I am taking it one day at a time.

My thoughts and prayers, Aarti

But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]

Hey! I hope you are doing well. Miscarriages are a terrible thing that can happen to a family. It is like your dream of having a child and the next moment it is all gone. There are various reasons why miscarriages happen. But I do not think that miscarriages should affect the relationship. It is the responsibility of the husband to understand that no one is at fault. It is not easy but she needs your support. She must be feeling terrible. I am also infertile. I remember when I first got to know about my infertility. I could not stop blaming myself. RE:Three miscarriages in a year...
Hey Richa, hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about it.I know what you have gone through. Toughest period is when one is TTC.The worst part is the miscarriages and 3 of them makes it even more hard to cope with. I agree with your husband and would advice you to take a break also. Try to regain your health.Rushing into things wont solve them. Consult a specialist a... - katherine [View Message]
