Hi all,
I underwent the srugery to fix the tear betn my rectum and vagina on Feb 7,and the surgery was a success, and I am recovering. It will take 3mnths for the stitches to be absorbed.

Could not inform u folks earlier since in Canada, hospitals are govt run and u never know if it will happen until it has really happened.

From Feb 6 morn, I was asked to be on water, and was given medicine to clean my bowels and colon for the surgery. It was so horrific with me pooping thro my vagina uncontrollably all thro the day. And I started having haemmoroid like pain around my vagina.

On Feb 7, got myself admitted at the hospital at 11AM. My surgery was delayed and I was taken in at 2PM. When I regained conscious my throat was dry, and all I was given was a sponge dipped in water to wet my throat and mouth. IV was my only source of fluids. The same night my body refused the IV, and so for 4 hrs I was with nothing until they were able to find an alternate location in my arm that would accept IV. I have small veins!!! Those 4 hrs, I felt dizzy, BP dropped and was on Oxygen.

On Feb 8, my doc asked that the IV be taken out, and I was on water. I did not even have the energy to walk to the restroom to pee. But it felt great and exciting to pass gas out the correct way after so long!!!

On Feb 9, morn 10Am I was discharged, and asked to be on bed rest. I was on water and juice till last Saturday. Have started light solids.

I tell u, our kids are far ahead of me in the food chart. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I have my dad over to take care of Kaaustaaub. Hubby and dad are managing the household.
K is ok in the day time. But night, he gets colic and runs away from my dad.

you are a really brave girl and your hubby must be a gem!! Having gone through so much for a year and bringing up K so normally... I'm really glad that the surgery went well and that it's just 3 more months of hardship for you...

Are you giving him any drops fro colic. For Kichu, the pd has asked me to give him drops mid-afternoon and just before bedtime, every day, till she asks me to stop.

Anyway, take good rest and recover well.. Love to K and regards to you dad and hubby.
