Hi Everyone,
Well the nurse at my Dr.'s office was wrong, I went in to the Dr. and he told me I have Gestational Diabetes..the results came back from the 3 hour test..I don't know what kind of nurse here in America can mess up like that and leave a message on your answering machine saying everything is fine.

Anyway the sad part is I have to poke my finger 4 times a day for blood glucose level test..and my husband every morning has to give me a insulin shot. I am so depressed and down. Its so hard working, and doing this as I have to check 2 hours after food and poke my finger. That means 2wice a day at work I have to test myself.

Tomorrow I have to go to a special class which will show what kind of diet I can eat and such. For the next 10 weeks, I have to make sure I follow this diet as well as the insulin shots, and finger poking and such. Its really tough when you work full time, and have minimal help.

ANyway sorry to cry you all a sob story..Please pray for me.

I can understand what you are going thru' ....But its only 10 more weeks to go....You have crossed all these 30 LONG weeks.....
One of my friend who is in India and who EDD is during feb had her baby last week...this upset me v much and I cudnt contact her ...Just hoping that everything is going on fine with her and her baby....After hearing this, all my discomfort or cravings or whatever I used to complain about earlier is totally vanished....Its always better we suffer than let the innocent one undergo right from the time it comes to this world.....
so plz cheer up...its only for your baby you are undergoing this....I hope everything goes fine till your bundle of joy arrives and god bless you with enough courage and optimism!

hi ritu,
don't worry so much,
you know my sister also had Gestational Diabetes, she also used to do all this.. strict diet, testing blood every now and then...
but hey its for the good of you and the baby!
My sister's daughter is 6 months old now.. and she's so healthy, active and really cute that my sis often says its worth all the trouble in last 2 months!!
