BTW the cake was kiddie sized mini muffins with their first name first letter frosted over with fruit loops and cheerios for decorations..kiddie sized w/age appropriate and familiar deco=child friendly and nothing of that \";mera wala cake usse chota/bada kyu nahi hai\";fights .
I used cake mixes from Pillsbury to bake fool proof soft cakes !
btw how many of you foks have transitioned to whole milk ? and stopped bottle feeds???
tia ki ma. maurni replied. That's such a great idea. I am planning Vrisa's first party for next Sat and the cake is what was getting me. I didn't want to get one ordered because they put too much frosting and the cakes here tend to be too sweet. I am thinking of making an angel food cake and making the frosting with fresh cream and crushed fruit like strawberries, raspberries, peaches, etc and then using the whole fruits to decorate the top of the cake.

I have started Vrisa on whole milk. I started two days ago and am gradually adding it to her formula. I am doing a 75-25% for a few days and then going to 50-50 and then 25-75 and then 100% whole milk. I just want to make sure she gets used to the taste slowly. She seems to be taking it well at the moment and no bowel issues till now (touch-wood)!
