Hi All,
I'm going to be in India for 3 months with my 1 year old. I'm really confused about a few things & will appreciate any guidance from you all.

Rt now Tanya is 11 months old & takes both formula & breast milk, but at 1 year i need to switch her to whole milk & il be leaving for india 20 days after that. Is it advisable to start her on whole milk & continue that in india or keep giving her formula till i'm back(she'll be 15 months old then).
I'm also in the weaning process rt now & my milk supply is pretty low now, w'd it help if i continue breast feeding her in india too or shd i wean her now itself, does BM help to keep kids free from health issues in india. lASTLY, WHICH KIND Of milk shd i use in india if i start her on whole milk here? & how can i carry whole milk to give to her during the journey? Il be going to Delhi.

W'd be glad if anyone can please help me w'h Any advice on planning for the trip & any other inputs you might have to keep my baby healthy during my stay there. Are there any items which u felt are absolutely necessary to take along. Do you plan to give mainly gerber food or home made food while in india & wt about the water. I'm not sure how much baby food shd i take along coz tanya does'nt eat it much anyways & also it'll occupy a lot of my luggage space.
Which airlines has good facilities for infants & toddlers. I'm planning on Emirates but have'nt confirmed as yet.

I recently visited India with my son only who was 10 months old then.I took my flight in Singapore airlines .Few suggestions/inputs from my side:

1.First and foremost reserve a bassinet while booking your ticket.

2. For the baby keep - Cothes,Diapers,Wipes,Medicines,Food (preferably travel packs) , Few toys and Warm Clothes too. Do not depend on the airlines for diapers or baby food.

3.Talk to your paediatrician before leaving.

4.I gave Enfamil in India and only homemade food.Started giving him whole milk after coming back here(i.e. 15 days after his first B'day).I took few gerber bottles,just for the flight.

5.Always sterilize the bottles well and use boiled water for your daughter(drinking / formula).

There are very good doctors in India , so need not worry on that part.Even diapers are readily available in India.

how ar eu??sory could not reply to earlier post as was not well,due to Cold,Regarding Party ya we startd the prep a month ago having around 40 people as of now,Food part have decided to give for catering.
Have around kids ,got goodie bags for them and giftes too for every family.
Good to knoe that u are trvelling again within 1yr ,also i started whole milk already though she is not a year old,she takes it fine so not a big change.
I have to travel next yr for sure and she will be a toddler then so not et thought abt it till now,i will wait for the inputs from others,hearing from all that emirates id good but i don't know whether they operate from LA as most of u are in Eastcoast.
Going ti meet the doc again for numbness and got to see wat they say
Nthing much in life othre then daily stuff and little busy with shopping and it's my Birthday on 25th ,week after Yashvita.
