this board has helped alot at all my difficult times. I came on vacation to Indai from US 20 days back and since 3-4 days I'm finding my milk supply is reduced alot...for my 31/2 old baby who is fully on Bm..here the doc has given me a tablet PERINORM to increase milk supply...CK please let me shd i take this tablet or not...I'm really confused what I shd do..also I think because of more hind milk..my baby is passing motions 6-8 times today with lots of white clot like particles..i\";m scared and don;t know what to do...I really miss all the good help from my lactation consultants..back in the US...CK ur answers ahve helped me so many times during my pregnancy...please do reply.....others alos please help me

perinorm is a good medicine. though i have not taken it, my friends have told me that it works well. it is safe & it helps to increase milk.

also dont worry abt the motions, as ck said it cud be becoz of what u had. & anyways upto 10 motions a day r normal for small babies.

new mom dont worry abt anything coz weather changes also bring a lot of changes in babies schedules & they react differently. this is part of babies & parenthood.

Jayna. ck replied. It is sad to hear that new mom. You can get a second opinion about the medicine with another ob-gyn there. I think it should be okay since a doctor prescribed it, they know what to prescribe for nursing mom. If u still hv doubt, just call your pediatrician-or hv somebody else here call your pedia here and ask about the medicine(note what it contains, what quantity etc. before calling).

For baby's stools, may be it is something that you ate out of ordinary. Keep a watch on what you eat. Eat only home-cooked mild spicy food. Keep feeding your baby as required, milk supply will increase automatically. Don't let any other person put finger on baby's mouth etc. See that their hand is clean before holding the baby. Just eat good healthy food, get enough rest and stay happy, everything will get into place.
