hi jo can u pls adv me reg laser treatment fr scar reduction.iam taking treatment from kaya clinic. i hv taken 2 gylocolic peel & 2 microderma still no result. they r telling me visible result after 5-6 sittings. they also want me to go for ndyga laser. can u tell me what is this.

Subject:  Laser Treatments vs Microderma and glycolic peels



Hi Kshama,

Microdermabrasion (MD)and Glycolic peels (AHA)are light treatments to refresh skin and remove dead cells and can be used preferably AFTER or in-between, but not instead of a Laser treatment.

Laser treatments show significant improvement and can be done once or twice a year (depending upon the severity of your condition) and should only performed by Board Certified Dermatologist or a Plastic Surgeon. In between, with your doctors recommendation, you may keep your skin in shape by an esthetician s/he refers you to, or they may be able to reccommend products containing AHA or BHA for you to use.

I have had Dermabrasion 10 years ago, am very happy with the results and will go in for a series of Laser treatments once a year to keep my skin looking good.
