Hi Moms-whose-kids-already-wear-shoes/booties,

I'm so miserable on the above account that i'm scouting for my son's first bootie when he's 11 months!!

I went and bought the 6mo to 1yr size and it just wont fit!! Spoke to Vani who's said that she'll check Rishi's bootie size/ make and tell me.

Can i buy sandals or proper shoes for Kich now? I mean, is it a must that they should first walk in booties and then only go to normal shoes? Even normal shoes come in wierd sizes here. Since Kich doesnt 'walk' now, is it Ok if i buy one 'size' bigger ?(i cant seem to get an exact match for his foot measurement)

Padma maurni replied. Don't be so hard on yourself. Vrisa is going to be 11 mos this month and has no shoes at all. I have her in socks when we go out and at home she is barefoot ( meri adad pad gayi usse ) and besides, she is classic at pulling her socks off all the time.
Since she walks while holding onto things, I got her socks that have rubbery grips on the bottom so they don't skid.
I am going to get her shoes when she's walking properly and that too outside the house.

There is no 'size' mentioned in Rishi's booties, I just told them that he is 10 months of age and got it and fortunately it fit him too. It is not a proper sandal and its a nylon mixed cotton shoes of blue and white... you must have seen them.

But I wear only soxes when I take him out (even at home since he is always on the floor which is so cold) I have got matching ones for this clothes and wear them since he doesn't really walk now. You try in that Shishu whatever shop, I think u will get one. Or just take Kich with you and get one.
