Dear friends

Long time since I wrote in this board and am not surprised that none else has written too... I know everyone is busy running behind these naughty kids... work is keeping me very busy these days and Rishi is a handful at home and so no time to write. I open the board everyday and do feel sad that ours has become like the other boards too...

Rishi is completing 10 months today and is a total brat now. He is standing with support and manages to walk with support for about 4 stpes and then crawls :) He doesn't want to do anything that is slow. He is saying amma, appa and akka now but I doubt if he knows the meaning of these words.

I had been to his ped this weekend and gave Measeles shot for him. He weighs 7.2kgs now (finally) and his Hb level is a little low. Doctor has prescribed iron drops. I have started top milk for him but he drinks it only if he is extremely hungry... like early in the morning and after his afternoon nap... night he definitely wants me to feed... he is refusing to take the bottle in the nights... so even after starting with top feed, I am not having a continuous sleep in the nights.

Who are all still feeding their babies and when are you going to wean? I initially planned to feed till one year but it is becoming difficult now. Rishi has not got even one tooth and I feel let it come only after I wean :) He has rice with dal and rasam twice a day now and half/full banana in the evening. He doesn't even touch his cerelac and kanji... sometimes I give him dosa too.. he likes it.

Do share what the babies are doing... soon we will all be planning for first birthdays i think... the first one will be Radha... Archana, what are your plans?

Ruby how is your health now and how is Santosh? Jayashree, hope you and Yash are doing great, do update.

Komal and Raj are enjoying in India and there is no news from Sush again. Reena, when are you coming to India?

Vidya, Sri, Naveena, Vandana and all... do write when u get time.

Maurni, all the best. Good that you are trying for a baby again... do keep us updated.

Ramya, hope your cold is better now, sorry I did not know what to suggest.

Vani maurni replied. So nice to hear from you. I do miss the activeness that our board had in the beginning but the little ones do take up so much time. Glad to hear Rishi's growing well. Vrisa is doing well, has 6 teeth now. I weaned her off at 8 months. She didn't seem to get full much with breast milk and used to play around for 45 minutes and thus my supply reduced. Her doc said it seemed as though she was weaning herself off and was interested in the solids more than milk. So for the last 2 months or so she has been on Formula and solids.
She is to get her blood checked tomorrow for iron levels. Other than that she is very active and is moving around crawling and walking with support endlessly while she is awake. I am not ready for her to walk yet.. so tired running after her at the moment with her crawling... :-))

Been a long long long time since i have written.
Hope Rishi is doing fine. time seems to be just flying, these kids are nearing their 1st b'day. Nice to hear about Rishi's developments. He seems to be a very active kid. Post some of his latest snaps.
Also was happy for Rishi as he is still on complete BF. Abhi isn't he takes formula milk, only in the nights he is on BF, not sure if enough milk flows.
Reg. abhi's updates he just loves standing & walking, hates to sleep or sit. these days he crawls at super fast speed. He has become very fussy when it comes to eating. takes hours together to feed him. am getting late everyday to office :-( just keep saying \";this is just a phase which pass soon\";.
will post his latest snaps sometime.
