I was feeling little pain in my left kneww since last 2-3 weeks, it was not like a bone pain, needle poking around knee area kinda. My Ob asked me to see my doctor. They did my ANA, RHeumatoid facotr,COMP MET Panel and Thyroid studies. All reports were normal but my throid test was below minimum. Total billirubin was also 0.1L(range was 0.2-1.4 but she said its OK??).

They refered me an endrocrinologist, today I saw her she said that she wants to do blood work after a month to check FREE T4 level. IF it comes low again then she would give me medication so that baby should not suffer with low throid. She asked me symptoms like excessive wieght gain, sweating , extreme fatigue etc etc. I dont feel any thing unusual. She said that at this point she cant say anything until I get second blood work done. I am so confused now is this thyroid level OK?

TSH 1.51 0.3-3.00
FREE T4 0.56 0.58-1.64

will it affect baby ? I completed 21 week yesterday. What is the medication done for this during pregnancy?

Please reply me...I need your views on this.

archie replied. your TSH is in limit and that only free T4 is slightly down, not a serious case. It won't affect baby's progress but get on medication quickly as your Dr. is available.
