Milestones:my 71/2 month old not bearing any weight on legs

hi, I ave a 7 1/2mnth old baby who isn't bearing any weight on her legs.. she hates putting her feet on the floor and when i try to stand her up she goes mad and cries. I know all babies develop at different stages/rates (so far she has reached all other milestones for her age), so was wondering if any parents have any advice/ideas on how to encourage her to bear weight, as i'm alittle concerned....I have visited my health vistor who said not to worry, her weight and length are normal for her age so this is not a issue... please help!!?

my son is the same age as ur kid. I play this game with him, make him sit on my knees/lap telling him sit and then give him litlle bounces repeating jump , jump or 1,2,3 and then at 10 u say stand when he stands up. He took a litlle time inunderstandingt his game but now he looks forward for me to utter 10 or stand. He njoys it.

There is nothing to worry about as she has had all other milestones for her age. my friend's daughter also didn't bear weight on her legs till she was 10 or 11 months , then she started walking in her 13th month, but once she got it, her walk was just great, no fallings at all, just steady. she was bit over weight that time.
so don't worry. try massaging her legs with baby oil before taking to bath ,just apply and rub from upwards to downwards 3 to 4 times, that's it. remember don't try to make her stand 'till she is ready'. if she cries, just stop it. she will, when she is ready to do it.

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
