I have posted replies to several people's beauty problems and am willing to give advise to anyone seeking help with skin care, hair care, make up. I am very experienced in many areas of beauty and have a lot of knowledge of effective products (and ones that are simply a swizz!). minnie replied. hi, im 20 yr old. two yr back ihad a thick hairs but after my examinations my hairs has bcome very thin may b due to stress.also i noticed a white deposit on the root tip of my hair. can i grow back my hairs thick again.is it possible . tell me any remedy for that.also tell me wat was that white thing on y hairs tip, was that a root? plzzz help me!!!
geeta replied. I have very thin and dull eyelash which makes my eyes look very dull and tired. Kindly suggest me to increase the size of my eyelash and make it thick

I was very smart and used to have very long hair 8 years back.But I was having alopecia areata(patches) from child hood.But I used to get hair in those areas within a year.After second delivery I lost all the hair,(alopecia totalis).After taking some steroids I got back hair .After stopping those medicines again I have lost all the hair.After that I have taken many types of treatments like homeopathi,ayurvedic and allopathic.But no use other than waste of money.I became very fat by using those medicines(steroids).They are saying it is
alopecia universalis and now I am not having single hair on my body.I have fed up with all these medicines.So I have decided to stop all the medicines.My nails are also not healthy and are irritating.Please suggest any remedies which can be tried at home to get my hair back.I dont want to use wigs and other artificial alternatives.Please help me.

I have very thin hair( single), its niether streight nor curly, its grows to a extent uptod shoulder then strat to curves, the outer side of the hair looks very dull whereas if I part it its looks shining. I have broad forehead and my front hair is bit curly (few) . I am using a mix of coconut oil and almond & cactus oil.
Could you please tell me why still my hair looks dull and growns in curly and strieght mix. Is any remedy to make my hair healthy?

Hi, I have hair fall problem. My hair were always thin but now from last 2 months, I am losing so many hair when I wash or whenever I comb. It has become very brittle. firstly, congrats on the baby! I hope all is well with you both:-)
SKIN: It's annoying having spots. To be honest if you are not opposed to it a contraceptive pill called Dianette can really turn long term spotty skin round. If you don't wanna go that route, we need to think about a cleansing regime. It may be that you have to buy over the net from the USA, is this a problem? Or you may have the products in your shops at home...but they *are* out there. Keep your hair off your face, tie it back when you can, use Avene gel face wash for densitive but spotty /oily skin and then use Avene treatment cream on the spots. Each night after you've clenased your face, massage bio-oil into your areas that have marks on them. I think this oil works small miracles on stretch marks, spot marks etc etc:-) I do not like cleansing wipes and believe that they cause zits...even my skin broke out when I used them:-(
HAIR: Haor loss after preganacy is normal, the baby has taken lots of vitamin supplies from you and if you are feeding continues to ddo so. Take vitamin E or try "hair and skin" tablets, taake silicea & zinc to boost hair growth. Comfort yourself that this is a temporary thing & you'll be back to your best soon:-)

I will try using mayonnaise and rest of things you suggested. I am pretty worried to use these styling products. Is there any other alternative to grow my hair think( single)?

Hi Jennifer, Janie here:-)
I have often met people who have hair that has 2 textures, part straight, part wavy etc etc. I actually do not think this is a problem as in terms of styling you can go straight or you can oomph things up style wise (re-contact if you need product or styling tips).
The condition of the *scalp* dictates the overall condition of the hair, so every day massage the scalp and every day brush your hair vigourosly for 5 minutes.
A quickie tip for perfect hair is to apply full-fat mayonnaise to clen, dry hair, cover with a plastic bag and leave for 20 minutes, then apply shampoo to dry NOT wet hair and then rinse and repeat as with a normal shampoo, condition as usual.
I have little faith in any sort of oil on the hair, I just don't think it works. But mayo does tend to smooth the hair shaft down and the appearance is sleeker.
There are some tablets called "hair and skin" and they work from within to help boost your new hair. I take these in winter!
I would love to know what styling products you use. Can I recommend Trevor Sorbie anti frizz shampoo and conditioner and straightning balm for when you go straight and Charles Worthington for curls range when you want to use your wavy hair to look sexy:-)

Sonie:-) Hello again! about your dark patches.. there is a product from ROC called "Soya Unify"..there is a cleansing cream and a topical cream to help with the dark patches.

Hi Sony,
sometimes dark patches occur on exposure to the sun, as the pill or pregancy can create a situation where your skin over-reacts and forms a "butterfly mask" of melanin and hormone and hyper pigmentation is what you currently have.
You have no choice other than staying out of the sun until your baby is here:-( I would use fade-out lotion in the mean time to try and lift the dark patches.
This is a drag, but on the positive side, it demonstrates that your hormone levels are very high and this is better for a stable pregnancy...you can revert to being a beach babe post delivery. Good luck till then:-)
