Hi everyone,

i had my 16 weeks checkup last Friday and like the last one , it was short , but the bottom line was the baby's heartbeat looked good ..in the 150s , though my doc had few seconds problem in finding the baby , looks like the baby was active a lot ... LOL .!!

and i have gained 4 pounds ...!!! that was about it ....the most exciting thing is i will be having level2 ultrasound in another 4 weeks when i am at 20 weeks ...looking forward to see my baby then :) ...

wow.. poppins, i am sure u/s would have started becoming more and more excited .. u know... i keep complaining to my husband that why they cant do u/s every check-up :) .... dont worry ... i am sure you will start feeling better soon ....

MotherToBe - i know, even my baby gave me a scare for few seconds when we could not find the h/b this time .... anyway ,the flip side, you got a sneak peek into your baby :) ....

you know gals, i was talking with one of my close friends who had ababy last year ....we were discussing what if the baby is sleeping when we do the u/s .... that would be very sad :) :)

-P poppins replied. It was nice to hear ur update. I am 12 weeks pregnant now and had my doctors appointment yesterday. Since i am in Europe, i have ultrasounds done on every visit. This time it was the abdominal ultrasound. The baby was sleeping but woke up and started to swim as the ultrasound was done. All looked fine and we cud see the heartbeat. They have still not shown the count. I am still not able to keep up food and water. I feel very sick these days and have lost 2 kgs but hope it will go off soon.

The doc did one in the 8th week also.

My pap smear had come abnormal and I was very tensed. Nearly in tears when i went to the doctor becasue didnt know what was going on. But it was a minor infection and theres nothing to worry the doctor said. I guess she had to reassure me that everythig was ok with the pregnancy. So in the 12th week which was last week she couldnt find the babys heartbeat and i got more tensed...she did the u/s. It was awsome to see the fully developed little baby. I could see the hands, legs,head and it was the best feeling. pari replied. wow!! good to know that u enjoyed ur docs visit. tats one thing we look forward to. so have u told the news to ur friends?
we started doing that today only. my u/s is due at 18 weeks, next week. there is a doubt in my mind. my friend conceived recently. she had two cysts in her ovaries. still she conceived somehow. her doc did her abdominal u/s at 8 weeks only. i was really surprized!!what could she possibly see at 8 weeks? u have not had ur abdominal u/s as yet na. thats wot u meant by level 2 u/s, rite? i think all the docs in US do it between 18-20 weeks only.
i was actually waiting for the u/s before breaking the news but then i thought my twins do deserve to be mentioned. i surprized my hubby too on father's day. gave him a hand made greeting. cooked his favourite dishes. but somehow i still feel scared breaking the news. this is not one of my good days.
just need a hug. im really scared.

blessed_mom .. my hubby is going to india on a short visit ..so i am going to schedule the u/s on Jul 17th .. i have aalready started the countdown .. i am so excited abt seeing the baby :)

Leo .. i know ..even i did not seem to be putting any weight , there was no weight gain in my 12 week checkup ... but this month i seem to have put weight at a rate of 1 pund per week which is scary ..!! guess we wil always be tensed either way :) :)

I have my 16th week appointment on July 5th; have not put on any weight. Eating well now.... hopefully by then I will add on some pounds. Otherwise doing well generally.
