Hi Archie,

on 28th of dec i had my check up with midwife and she told me everything is fine.. am unable to feel baby movements other than few throbbings down the pelvic area as she told me that my placenta is anterior so its acting like a cushion between mt stomach lining and the baby.. she told me not to worry much and i would be able to feel the movements in the later months. after taking her permission we went out for our outing and came back last nite.. the outing was 3-4 hrs drive from home and we just stayed in a cottage and havent done any thing that mite lead to any exhaustion to me at all.. it was complete staying home and relaxing.
when i cam back last nite i went to the loo.. i was having a irritation at the vaginal area (i had to use the public toilets 1-2 times during our journey back home and cudnt wash myself properly at that time) and when i was washing myself i saw 1-2 drops of blood.. it mite be becoz i was scratching as well due to the irritation and mite have injured myself.. i checked myself throughly and there was nothing after that.. not a single drop of blood or nething.. since we were very scared i went to a doc on an emergency basis and he examined me( my stomach and baby's heart beats). he told me the baby movement is fine and so is the heart rate of the baby it mite be something to do with water infection which is very common round this time.. he gave me an anti biotic (nitrofurantoin tablets 100mg 3 times a day for 7 days). i did mention to him that before my pregnancy was diagnosed i was given amoxicillin and i had severe problems after that. but he jut told me to go ahead with this medicine but to consult my GP first and to give them a sample of my urine. i called up the surgery today and had a word with the doctor(on phone) present at that time.. he also told me the same thing.. he said there is no need for me to come down for any check up or even the urine samples as he also feels the same and asked me to take the medicines( but 4 times X 3 days). my concern is how can they be so sure that i have an urine infection without even taking the samples? last time i took my urine sample to my midwife on 28th of dec and she told me its clear.. plus i dont have any abdominal pains or nething and i am not feeling uncomfortable while passing the urine.. do u think i sud consult further or sud i start taking the medicines? u know am little skeptical coz last time i took the amoxicillin i had severe problems..plus can there be any other problem? i just want the baby to be fine... and i do drink loads of water each day..
pls respond and thanks once again for ur support..
Regards

Thanks Archie,
yes i do agree i worry a bit probably a little bit more than i sud but i hope u understand that i stay away from my family here and there is no one to reply to the querries except for the doctors and this forum where u listen to all the problems and reply with lots of patience..

as for me not sure abt my pregnancy(back in august) yes i was.. i decided at that time that i would rather wait for 2-3 days more than doing a test and getting a negative results.. it can be quite agonising to get a -ve result for months and months.

Thanks for all ur support i will try not to worry much and if everything goes fine than probably will meet u again in this forum after the delivery of the baby.. AMEN!!

last but not least wish u and your family a very happy and a prosperous new year.
Thanks
Cheers

catch_sub,
I know you get worried a lot for things, know your case when you were not even sure if you were pregnant.

If I were to judge your case based on story you explained here I would conclude that as well a UTI case. you said irritation or burning sensation while urinating? Thats a good sign of UTI. Not all UTI will have abdominal pain. Normally they pain while passing urine. Also there is a possibility that you don't have infection and you may have been scratching and a little dehydrated thus acumulated acids caused you irritate more. In either case treating you with nitrofuran is good option as you are pregnant and risk can not be taken for waiting to hear a urine culture. chill all is OK.

by the way when anterior placenta movements can be erratic because your placenta is barrier between baby and your stomach to fell movements. you shoult not be worried a lot but don't ignore absence of them as it might of a cause of concern sometime!
