Parents can build a good support system by taking help from family and friends. It is a good idea to have a full time maid if staying in a nuclear family. Taking help from relatives and husband also helps a lot to ease the stress of handling a newborn. Elders can be best guide as they have had the experience so never hesitate to consult them.

When I became a mother for the first time, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. It was difficult for me to cope with the additional responsibilities and I even began to resent the baby. Besides sleep deprivation made me irritable also. But I could easily sail through this time due to the support of my family and husband.

The foremost challenge that a new parent faces is a change in daily routine. The newborn baby requires much care and attention. there is too much chaos with the arrival of a baby as everything goes for a toss. life becomes an endless cycle of feeding, changing diapers, and putting him to sleep. There are many other additional work and this along with managing the emotions is a big challenge.
