Hi all,

Congratulations to all of you on this board. I missed my periods which were due on 21st of Aug. I did an HPT test yesterday and it showed a faint positive. Today, I am going for a blood test to my gynac to confirm the same. But, this faint line is making me crazy.

Did anyone of you go through any such exp? Faint line on hpt but still normal pregnancy. I am scared as to a faint line might mean low HCG levels or something not normal. Can anyone give me their views on this. Though I am going for an blood test today I am not able to wait and so would like some of ur opinions.

If everything is alright, I will join u on this board. I have started all the other preg symptoms. Swollen and pianfull breasts, Morning sickness, headaches and nausea, all this has already begun. But I don' t know why my HPT showed a faint line. According to my calculations I must be 5 weeks preg by now. Shalini Deb replied. Did u get the results? Is a big party awating us?

this is perfectly normal....i did a hpt on sunday and there was a faint line and i do believe i am pregnant as my periods are always on time.
Plus with my first son there was only a faint line to...so dont worry...u are pregnant and a big congrats.... pari replied. Hi Madhu, First of all congratulations...I am from March 2008 board. My condition was more or less similar to you. I had performed the test after 10 days of my missed period still I got the faint line. I re-performed the test after five days again and it showed slight improvement. I was also scared abt my HCG levels but after that I went to the Gynaec and she performed the scan in my 6th week and we could see the baby' s heartbeats...So do not worry. if you are in India - the chances are that all the test kits are not very sensitive. It depends upon how you performed the test. The sample which you had taken was probably too less or too much. So, just relax and keep us informed about your pregnancy.All the best !!!!!

Ur symptoms make me believe that u r pregnant.A faint hpt is considered to be positive.So congratulations to u & ur family.Do keep us posted abt ur blood test.
I am 5 & 1/2 weeks & seem to hardly have any symptoms.It was like this when I carried my son too.Don' t worry with that faint hpt, ur blood work will definitely show positive.
