Name: swathi Hi moms,

I started solids for my son two days back. He will be 6mn old in one week and he is exclusively bf. I'm using formula to mix rice cereal. I noticed red rashes around his mouth after feeding the solids then after 5mins it goes away. Should I stop feeding the solids for him? is he allergic to formula/rice cereal? I'm so cofused. please let me know.

hi there
i do not think your son is allergic to it... the same thing happened to my son but after some time it gradually stopped happening... it is because there skin is still sensitive so when we feed them some come on their face also. However, just to be safe it is always good to consult with your doctor as well.
