I was surfing through the net for healthy hair and I got this cool article. I will copy-paste it for you guys:)
Steps:
-Wash and condition your hair normally.
-If you have to use a hair dryer, lightly blow dry your hair, using a brush as you do it. In general it is best to avoid hot rollers, curling irons, or dryers as they will damage hair and make long hair less attractive over time.
-At night, put your hair in a pony tail and braid it, then roll it up into a bun and tie it up. (You do this so when you sleep you dont toss and turn and pull your hair out on your pillow!) If your hair is fine, skip this step and avoid elastic hair binders which will break the hair at the point where they are used. Hair under tension tends to break and you want your hair LONG!
-Consider an oil treatment (hot or regular) every week.
-If your hair isn't very dry, a good conditioner used with every wash will suffice.
-Wash your hair once every one and a half weeks (about every ten days) if your hair is kinky or nappy.
-Fine, straight hair will require washing every other day to look healthy. Use a non-drying shampoo and a good conditioner.
-If your hair is naturally dry do not wash it too often as it will strip your hair of it's natural oils, leaving it even drier.
Extra Tips
-If you don't know how to do a hot oil treatment in your hair, ask for help and/or read directions.
-Don't put gel or hairspray with alcohol in your hair as it will have a drying effect.
-Make sure not to really put anything in it except shampoo and conditioner.
-Start this whole adventure with a professional hair cut first to give yourself the best possible starting point for long, healthy hair.
-For some people, it is possible that areas of your life such as diet, exercise, hours of sleep, and stress affect hair growth. Healthy habits will promote healthy hair!
-Regular haircuts, even while you are trying to grow it out, will keep the hair looking good and, more importantly, keep it healthy.
