Hi All,

How are you doing? Have any of you started showing or put on any weight? I have put on 1kg and I am in my 10th week now.

Finding it difficult to cope with work. Get exhausted by the time I reach home. Are there any working mommies in this group? How are you' ll managing?

Take care
Sunshine

hello there.. Am new around on this site. Have started the 24th week. And yes, am working full-time. I have worked out flexi hours with my boss and team. I get in to work at 11am and leave off at 7pm. This is primarily to avoid the peak hour train rush, as I live in Chembur in suburban Mumbai. But just last week, I had a slight droplet of bright red blood on the toilet paper after passing urine. I have to admit I was a bit scared, but I was pretty sure it was because my husband and I had intercourse the previous night. Yet, I called my doc and since it was a Sun. morn, he requested me to take a Pause tablet and see him first thing Mon. morn. So instead of office, I headed out to meet my doc.. :) And turns out my placenta is low-lying. He' s advised me complete rest.. not bed-rest though- just told me avoid exertion. i think he saw my face and felt sorry for me.. :) the mere thought of being at home all day makes me cringe. He says at this stage it is not uncommon to have a low-lying placenta it could take up to 6 more weeks for it to move into position. Hoping for the best. In any case, coming back to balancing being preggie and work, I have a great boss, who pro-actively suggested I work from home and has accordingly assigned me a project for the Laadli campaign. We' re a very gender-sensitive organisation, (considering we' re working for gender equality, I am not surprised) and I am really thankful for that. More later...

Subject:  Full time working

Hi,
This is my first pregnancy and i work full time. i am in my 21st week and everyday at the end its like being on a himalayan trek, its very difficult to manage work and home and pregnancy, most days and weekends i am just dozing off. No amount of calcium/iron/heamatinics are helping. But, to relax i listen to music in the evenings, go for walks in the garden, read, i read Mother&baby mazagine, have finished 3-4 books like Mayo clinic-guide to healthy pregnancy, lamaze guide, be prepared etc. They were very helpful in understanding a lot of things. I have also joined a pre-natal yoga class and meeting expectant mommies there is a good experience.

I also do work and yes it is being difficult day by day. I work from home (s/w) but still having such a tough time. I am having terrible heartburn and acidity problem apart from feeing tired and all. Due to this not able to cook and eat well...which is making it worse. Everyday i am learning new food i need to avoid to not have that heartburn/acidity. Plus keeping up with a almost 3 yr old!
My first pregnancy was a breeze but this is getting tough already !!

I hope I am as lucky as you were with your first pregnancy :-)

so far I have had bouts of stomach pain. its the weakness/tiredness that gets to me. I am just not able to have even a sip of my favourite MILK.

Hats off to you for managing pregnancy, work and your 3yr old!

Take care. Keep updating.

Yeah. I forgot to mention the backpain.

I was doing Yoga till around 2 weeks back. Then a friend who is a doc asked me to discontinue till the first trimester ends. Yoga really helps to relieve backpain and I feel its raises my energy levels as well.

All the best. Keep posting.

Never take Relicord - pathetic customer care
Hi All,

According to my experience with Relicord, I will never recommend any one to go with Relicord. It' s being 1.5 years now, I am paying the EMIs, but I had enough trouble with them.
1.After one year they send a legal notice to me saying that I have not given the intitial advance of 20,000 R.s

Lifecell is the best
yes Life cell is the best, when ourbabygirl was due in Feb 2011 we shortlisted Lifecell after meeting Cyrobanks, Relicord, Babycord etc. Cyrobanks are thugs they promise you the moon and also there is no indian hand in this company so we can' t rely on them at all. Relicord is good but the offers have so much marketing gimmicks. Other players lacks either the technical inf... - CK [View Message]

Avoid Beena Jaysingh. We' ve got seriously burnt up by Dr. Beena Jaysingh of Apollo Bellandur. Dr Beena is highly unprofessional and always behind money. She is incompetent and doesn' t understand patient problems and needs. Whenever we went to her for my wife' s pregnancy she wrote all the available tests without even asking and thinking.

My personal experience with ReliCord is not good. My baby is now 9 months old and the contract is still not signed. I am following up since last 6 months.

Anybody has any idea what can be done in such a case.... - Ani [View Message]
