are ur periods regular after delivery.Mine is very irregular.will it get normal by itself or should i consult my doc. right now i got them after 2 months and it has been 7 days now but still i cannot see any signs that they will go do let me know what shall i do.

Irregular periods is normal during first 6 months. I have the same pblm. I have decided to wait till the end of 6 months before taking medicines. Also I heard that taking medicines for regularising ur periods will lead to lot of sideeffects during menopause.

It's normal to have irregular periods after delivery, esp if u are breastfeeding. In any case it's normal to have irregular periods (if you had a baby or not).

I had the same problem after delivery. 2 months after delivery I started having irregular periods, continuous bleeding for 2 weeks. My ob/gyn scheduled me for ultrasound (just to be on safe side) to check if piece of placenta is left in uterus. results were normal. Then Dr gave me an option for prescribing me either yasmin (it does affect your milk supply - becomes less), or ortho micronor (does not affect your milk supply). They both are birth control pills (estrogen) that helps regulate your period. Dr told me that it's okay to breastfeed if I am on it. Still it's better to consult with your ob/gyn.

I took it for 2 months, and my periods got regular now, thank god! In your case, I would suggest you to wait for 2 weeks, if it continues consult your ob/gyn. Most probably they will prescribe you that and/or will schedule an ultrasound. Don't worry...

tina ck replied. My mom says regularly breastfeeding moms will hv irregular/missed periods. Still check with ur doctor if it is normal.
