My daughter divya who is about to be 6 months old has severe dry skin, so bad that anything she gets she tries to scratch her face. Came to know this was eczema and as per doc's advice started applying Aveeno baby lotion. From the past few days, she has started to scratch her head, she wakes up in the night now just to scratch her head and she does not sleep. We try to keep the room cool, give her headbath every other day. But does not look to help her. Anybody facing a similar situation.

Hi Sumana,

Try oiling her hair (coconut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil...). Washing hair makes it more dry since it washes away scalp's natural oils. Oil her hair before and after washing till the problem goes away. My daughter has a big patch of dry scalp and have been oiling for a few months now, don't know how long this will continue.
