I've a 1 and half months old son. He doesn't cry usually. Even at the time when he is given an injection, he cries for 2 minutes and then stops.

He changes his feelings when he's hungry. His monther gets alerted and notices that he's hungry and feeds him. Also, he is digesting his food well.

I heard elderly people saying that infants should cry more, then only we can say they are in good health. Is it a misconception ?

Am not sure whether I should be worried about this? Is everythings OK with my son ?
umma replied. dont worry, if your baby is not crying just appreciate it. As long as the doc is not worried and he is growing fine, dont' listen to cultural myths. There is no medical basis. and a child is measured by health,height, weight, ...etc. Not by how much they cry. everybaby is different. mine nver cries for dirty diapers, or hunger. i m a mother of 8months old baby and my son use to be like the same,not crying much and all,but dont worry it is true that a infant should cry as it is gud for lungs.but my son didnt cry much even when he use to have wet diaper he never cried.just make sure whenever he is crying u r not picking him rite away,let him cry for a moment.
