Hi all,
I had an appt with a surgeon today abt my recto vaginal fisulate - a tear betn my rectum and vagina during vaginal delivery. I had practically been waiting for today for over 2 mnths now.

She examined me and informed us that the tear was medium to large, and surgery was imminent. However, it has been a long time since she did this kind of surgery, and hence has recommended me to another surgeon who does these alteast a dozen a year. She wants to ensure that it is done right the very first time. (She specialized in this kind of surgery when she was studying:))

Also I had poop coming out of my vagina 2 weeks ago, and she was pretty surprised that for the hole of that size I had not pooped numerous times in the past. She said there is nothing that can be done from our side, but just wait and get operated right the first time.

However the positive side of today's visit was that we came to know that the surgery would be fairly simple, and recovery would be fairly easy too, since the hole was more towards the exit.

So, countdown starts again for the next surgeon appt and visit.

Your health should really be bothering you and even I cannot imagine what you are going through.... but have the faith and just hang in there. Matter of time, you will be ok. Wish you all the very best for a surgery....i can't even imagine how tough it must be for you now...but i can feel that you are a strong person and i'm sure having kaauustuub(sorry -forgot the spelling) makes it all worth it!

You must be feeling really anxious to get this done and over with, but the wait is more painful, right?
I hope your surgeon visit happens soon. Its good that your doc was honest and really wanted the best for you.
Hope you recover from this soon and you can forget about it and enjoy without always worrying about it.
