I had my 20th week ultrasound this week. Everything is fine with the baby. The baby was happily swimming in the tummy. Looks like a very active baby. We didn' t want to know the sex of the baby! I was half minded but decided to wait to know for keeping the suspense on. Got 6 pics too when the baby was sucking the thumb! It was really surprising and cute to see that.

At hospital they almost took 30 minutes for the u/s. Then the doc came and did u/s himself for another 20 minutes. I got scared if everything is fine. It is the normal procedure it seems. My tummy started hurting after u/s after all that pressing during u/s. I' m happy everything is good. The doc turned on 3D view for once, the baby started looking very real and clear. The baby immediately closed the face with the elbows, so we missed to see the precious features :-( May be if the face was clear I' d hv got a 3d picture also... Just missed it, but so surprised to see the baby in motion hiding the face... Memorable exerience to cherish! Neeti replied. Hi CK,

Just had mine yesterday!

It was nice to see the baby moving all the time. In India, we will never come to know about the sex (and also it does not matter much as mine in the first child @ 30yrs + 1 past abortion + age = pracious delivery)!

The baby was sucking its hand. Its legs were stretched and other hand was on them. We also captured its footmark. :)

They did not do the 3D though. Do we have to ask for the 3D view? I am also keen on seeing my baby' s face. We saw other things like distance between eyes and all, but dinn see the face :(!

Most of the times baby decided to show its bum on us while taking measurements. :)! I have taken this on CD, so my hubby can see them when he returns to us!

Glad to hear abt your ultrasound story. Its really amazing to see the baby in action. Every turn & action looks cute. Your baby wants the keep the suspense abt features for some more time.....very smart :).

I am sure it would have been an awesome feeling...Can' t tell you what an urge I get at times to see my baby....Am dying to see the face of the baby I am already so much in love with. 3D ultrasounds are not a part of the routine scans in Canada so I was thinking of buying a 3D/4D package and after hearing you gush I am even more convinced than before. But will have to wait another 7 weeks or so for it.
