The sleep patterns of Rishu, Diya and now Megha may be erratic because fo some other reason that lack of 'routine' or 'discipline'. I think it is because their momies are over-stimulated with truckloads of work (other than babying)..

Request Reena to pleease.. please try out a babysitter for an hour everyday (to catch some sleep yourself) and cut down on house-work, before trying to ferberize Rishu.. Maybe the problem will vanish even w/o having your darling CIO...

And..babies NEED 16 hours of sleep.. That R is not taking these (why isnt he tired?) is itself a mystery.

Chalo yaar.. Whatever method you try, i really wish some good sleep for you and Rishu and pray that things will get back to normal for the others too...

I don't remember Rishi sleeping for more than 1.30 hours at a stretch. Now he is far far better but he too was the same - no sleep at all and the only time used to be 12ish in the night to 6 in the morning with 1 or 2 feeds in between.

But I would also suggest a baby sitter for Reena because I have seen Rishi feeding and sleeping with my SIL, MIL or someone else. They even tell me that I am the one complaining and Rishi is a sweetheart!!!

So Reena, please try this out. You have got friends there... I have heard you and Komal mention names... take their help atleast if you cannot find a nanny. All the best. Hang in there and keep the faith.
