Due Date Club September 2007:When does 2nd trimester start?

Quick question for you folks.. I am still confused when the 2nd trimester would start. When we complete 12th week are we in the 2nd trimester or should we complete 14th week? Any advice is appreciated..

i read somewhere, that since the entire gestational period is considered to be of 40 weeks hence your first trimester would end at 13 weeks and 3 days. though many ppl consider it complete at 12 weeks, and many do at 13 weeks. anyway... think of it as over whenever you start feeling better.. with no nausea :-)
( BTW my mom said it is exactly 3 months from you LMP)

hi rose,
i think 2nd trimester starts from week 14 bcoz 1st week starts from the 1st day of last missed period but conception usually takes place 2 weeks after that.
