How' s everyone doing? Now that most of us are in the second trimester, physically things should be better.How many of you are planning to find the sex of the baby?

I had my second prenatal checkup yesterday. I am in my 14 th week.Heard the baby' s heartbeat (125) and the B.P was also normal.My ultrasound report also seems to be O.K.Since I have been experiencing severe vomitting and total lack of appetite, I have lost 5 pounds in just the last month.I am trying to eat but just don' t feel like having anything.I have been drinking lots of fluid though. Atleast I don' t have fatigue.Let' s see how things fare.

I will be taking my second set of blood sets as part of the prenatal screening in about 2 weeks.Then an ultrasound around 20 weeks.I have been feeling flutters in my stomach since last 10 days.I do know that movements are felt earlier in the second pregnancy but the doctor says that it is too early for them to be movements.Any second time mom experiencing this?

My experience at 13th week

Hi Sandhaya,
Yesterday I consulted my gynae with blood test reports. T3 T4 readings r higher than norma- she has suggested re-test. BP was low at 100/70- suggestion eat mmore which i am unable to do as i dont feel like eating...

Since last 2-3 days am feeling flutters i n my stomach..i am worried if everying is fine.

Does any one has any idea about what r effects of high T3 & T4?
Please mail me if anyone has any knowledge on this.

Hello Harsha

I won´ t be able to advise you about the blood results as I am not done with the second set of tests yet.The doctor will analyse once these results are out.Did you ask the doctor about the high readings and what they might indicate? Don´ t worry.Just make sure you get all the answers from the doctor.

I have been feeling flutters in my stomach from 14 th week.This is my second pregnancy.I am convinced that they are the early movements as I feel them almost everyday and now feel them at different times.For my son, I felt something similar around the 19th week.Is this your first/ second pregnancy?

my update

hi sandhya,
good to know that everything' s ok on ur side. don' t worry abt the weight loss in the first trimester..it happens when u have severe vomitting. but its good that u are keeping urself hydrated and the nausea/vomitting will probably go away soon.

i am in my 14th week too and just visited my doc a couple of days ago for the routine checkup. and yes..heard my baby' s heartbeat for the second time :) and just like u..i have to go for blood work in 2 weeks and then an ultrasound after 4 weeks.

hmmm..abt the movements..yes 2nd timers feel them earlier but if not now, u will still feel them very soon. btw, how is ur son feeling? have u told him yet that he will have a baby bro/sis soon to play with? is he excited?

well..we have decided not to find out the sex of the baby beforehand..but it feels so tempting sometimes. and at times, it is hard for me to believe that i' m pregnant!! feels like a dream...

how r u doing? good to know that ur son is excited abt the new baby :) i always feel amazed at how 2nd timers manage their pregnancy when they also have another kid to take care of..

yeah..this is my first pregnancy and we have decided not to find out the sex of the baby and i havent even checked the chinese calendar..but it has been true for almost all my frnds.

Hi there

Hello Rakhi

We both seem to be at the same stage in our pregnancies.How are you feeling? Is this your first or second one?

My hubby and I told our son Vedant long time back about the impending new arrival.I showed him the ultrasound pictures too.We talk about the " baby" quite a lot and changes about to happen.However, I am not going to ask him if he wants a brother/ sister because I am not the one to decide.We had been reading " bother/sister" books a lot too.

I found out the sex the first time and intend doing it this time too (if the baby co-operates!).Have you checked the chinese calender to see what you might be carrying?
