Should we book a separate ticket for yash ?
I have read they provide basinet? do i need to request when we book tickets?
Do they allow stroller in plane?
How about baby's food and sleep? any suggestions what should i carry?
How to get prepared for the trip ?
What all stuff to pack which i will not be able to get in india especially in small town?
Any medications i need to take in case ?
what all to avoid in travel and stay there?

lots of doubts please help...any suggestions most welcomed!!!!!!!

Hi sk ,

Its nice to hear about your india trip...Its the most exciting time. I had been there with adi when he was 6 months old. I had booked for bassinet with my travel agent . You can also book but i think they allow for kids above 1 year . Still you can check .
I didnt take a stroller and had a tiring time carring him, diaper bag, carry baggage etc...so u should take one..if possible the umbrella stroller which is easy to fold and keep inside the plane or else you can hand it to them while boardingt he plane.
Carry with you milk, baby food jars, cereals etc..in the plane..you can still give him the other food ..or why dont you find if they have special meals for babies/toddlers etc.
In india , i made sure about giving him boiled water . I was fine ..i didnt use any bottled water . Also carry your own feeding spoon and bowls for yash where ever you visit . Caary all the medicines he might need.
Will let you u know if anything else reqd.

Take care..and love to yash
Disha.

Hi Sk,
How are you? Good to know that you are planning a trip to home. I have been very busy lately at work so couldn’t post any messages. But I will also reply on another post of yours.

About the India trip;
You do not need to book a seat for Yash. I paid around 400$ when we went to India with Raghav. I heard that you pay 10% but ours came out to be around 25% why I still do not know. Please let me know how much you pay for Yash once you book the ticket.
About the basinet it depends on air line. Because they have weight limitations so air India told me that then can only provide basinet till 6 months or up to some weight ( Do not remember the weight )but you can ask the air line.

Food- You should carry Gerber food or home made food for Yash. But again with all the security problems while check in it is better to stuck with Gerber. If Ash eats messed rice then you can give from your plate. But Raghav still need to have his food grinded.
They will provide you milk so you need to carry sippy cup or bottle whatever Yash likes. Keep two to three Sippy cup/bottles. They can wash for you or you can go and wash it but it is better to have some extra.

Stroller – You can carry a stroller. They will allow either a stroller or a car seat. It will not count in your luggage. Weight does not matter. They will take the stroller while boarding in to the plane and give to you after getting there..with luggage.

Medicines :
Tylenol Cold, Tylenol Fever Reducer, Benadryl. That’s it.. Also Pedialyte in case he has loose motions. You can ask your docor if yo need to carry any other medicines.

Things to avoid in India
Water is the main source of problem. You can bring some water from here like nursery water for few days like three to four small bottles. Start with that step by step you can give him water of home. You can give him boiled water. I do not trust bislery so I got the water called Evian ; it is very expensive and only get in standard stores. It is the same water brand available in US ( also expensive in US)

Ok please let me know if you need any other info.
Take Care!!!

I was blessed with a daughter 3 years back n I m really thankful to God for that.It was a c-sec delivery n I was alone with my baby as my husband was posted in field location.n I was clueless about bathing riutals. so I never applied UBTAN on her but now I realized she has too much hair on her legs, back n hands n on face too.
