hey anybody knws abt 2nd level screening/ultrasound?? wht' s it??its carried out after 20th week..anybody has undergone tht??

Hi mallika!

I' m arpita 4rm chd..i' m into my 24th week n just got the 2nd level done yesterday..it is a detailed analysis of baby' s all body parts to check any malfunctions or abnomalities n the development..it' s great 2 see the little one within u developing it' s own systems..

Subject:  2nd Ultrasound



2nd Level ultrasound is done to find out the birth defects. By now the babies facial featurs and kidny, stomach is developed so doc. looks for any birth defects. Some Doc. goes for a 3rd ultrasound, I have not been there yet but have heard that 3rd one is to see if baby' s lungs are made as that is the last part in baby that gets developed.Enjoy!!!

i haven' t done it but i heard about it. it is similar to ultrasound but much more clear. u will actully see the baby than just a figure. one of my friend did it. there is a fee for it.
they can even show u the gender very clearly than ultrasound. it is done around 20week.
