Sorry i put Moni's name in place of mine by mistake.
I've the same pro as Moni's.
Can i give sugar to my baby?.....as i heard tht it shld not be given before one yr.

Hi ,

I have given my son sugar and salt since he was 7-8 months.Now he is going to be a year old. I add only like `half spoon sugar to his raggi . Other than that i have never added sugar to any food . I do give him a little salt with his rice & dal.

I would advise against using sugar right now..it is a little early for that and giving food mixed with sugar is not a good habit if you look at the long term....
Have you tried Cereals with banana,apple or mixed fruit.... they are sweeter than the simple cereal may be he might like that...

He likes cereals very much.I'm giving him all with apples,banana n mixed fruit.
I'm concerned abt him not drinking formula.
I don't want him to be on solids so soon.

No Sugar

Hi SM,
Sugar is not advisable to introduce a 6 months. I would also agree with Disha's suggestions to start beginner’s cereals and add lots of formula in it. That way he will have formula milk + cereal . And maybe he will adjust to formula's taste and then drink formula later .
Try beginner cereal like rice, oat, barley etc. I started solids for my baby by 4 months.

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
I have been busy since i joined work since Jan ,so my inlaws are here to help with kids.i terribley miss both kids during day.
