Hi,

I'm from Jan-06 board.U all must have good experience as u've 9-10 months kids.

I'm not able to BF my son(6 months)as very less milk is coming.And he is not drinking formula, not even 1 oz.Will u suggest me how to make him drink formula?He is more interested in solid foods.But i don't want him to be on solids so soon.
Can i give sugar to 6 months baby?....so tht i can add itin formula n try.

SK replied. I would advise against using sugar right now..it is a early for that and giving food mixed with sugar is not a good habit if you look at the long term....
Have you tried Cereals with banana,apple or mixed fruit.... they are sweeter than the simple cereal may be he might like that...

Also keep trying formula...he will eventully like it...do not give up..if no BM then formala is important for him for another 6 months ..later you can give him milk.
Try warming it up,cold..etc if he likes that way...distract him with his toys even tv if that might work ....and give him...

Only thing i can think of is to start beginers cereals and add lots of formula in it. That way he will have formula milk + cereal . And maybe he will adjust to formula's taste and then drink formula later .
Try beginer cereal like rice,oat ,barley etc. I started solids for my baby by 4.5 months. Hope this helps.
