Will write about scrapbooking soon...but here's my reply to sush a few days back:


i had started making the scrap book BB(before baby) ..but aajkal thoda slow progress hai since working on too many things...

1)Baby Book/Scrap book- Got one from Babies r us and filled out all the family tree ka details,etc,etc BB ..
It has areas for noting down birth details, foot prints,hand prints, first photo,etc,etc.
It also has place to stick baby's crib card, wrist band,etc(hospital keepsakes)
Then it has a few empty plastic pockets - I stuck my pregnancy snaps..cut karke in different shapes like a collage..will send you pictures soon) on one A4 page and put it in one of the empty plastic pocket. Then in one i stuck all the ultrasound pictures date wise.
Then on one page my baby shower ka photo collage.

Yet to make- Megha's first day ka photo collage


2) Baby diary- it is my pregnancy cum baby development diary.
3)Filling out the nestle baby calendar too.
4) Call me crazy but i made her photo album like a scrap book too..since i have so many photos in the same dress of a single day and all with different expressions...so stuck them all on one page of the album with captions or stories .That makes each page a collage....

Also kept keepsakes like her birth day's newspaper , all the posters that i had made for her party, her first cap in the hopspital.

Thanks for all your GREAT ideas. Have taken a printout and am going to get cracking on it in SFO..hopefully will be able to get a scrap book there only. The snaps in the albbum are great and I admire this skill of yours...am very eager to start mine too.

I was just thinking for those who haven't started the scarpbook and also don't remember the exact dates of the baby's milestones like the day of first smile, first roll over, first solid food ,etc...
Here's an idea:
Step 1)You can buy a blank album or a scrap book ( from Michaels or any other store)
Step 2) MAke first 2-3 pages for the Birth (First day in Baby's life) ON this Page you can write the following details:
Name : (in brief if anything special about the name chosen or who decided it and why)
Birth Day and time :
Birth height and weight :
Doctor and hospital details :
First time when mom and dad saw the baby...your first feelings:

Then put a few photos of the first day.

Then you can write about any milestone or development of the baby - like the baby's sleeping routine, smiles, recognition skills,etc.

Then stick any keepsakes that you may have- also copy of birth certificate.


Step 2) Make 2-3 Pages for every month similarly upto a year or more- that way you don't need to remember exact dates and yet this will be something really interesting for you and baby to read after many years .
