Hope everybody is doing good and enjoying parenting. I have a ? regarding table food. My daughter is 9months old and she is going to day care. Daycare people asked me whether she started eating table food like boiled carrots, boiled potatoes. I havent started them yet. Can somebody tell me how to prepare them and what else we can give as a table food.

Need suggestion

Aparna,
Thanx for the reply. However I need a suggestion from you about my babies feeding schedule. Here is her menu every day.

7.20am - oat cereals - 5 tsp
9.15am - bottle - 4 oz
10.30am - garber 2 vegetables
12.30pm - rice cereals - 6/7 tsp
2.30pm - bottle - 4 tsp
3.30pm - garber 2 fruit
4.30pm - bottle - 4 oz
6.30pm - cheerios/snacks/idli
8.00pm - bottle - 4oz
9.30pm - rice cereals - 7 tsp
3.00am - bottle - 4/5 oz

Let me know whether it is heavy for 9 and half months baby or should i change the schedule or reduce the quantity. Sometimes i feel that she is not having enough food and sometimes feels like im giving more than what she needs. Please suggest me.

hi saharu,
the feeding schedule seems to be good..as per my ped says , we must give him 1/2 cup fruits and 1/2 cup veg daily other than what ever we give him.
the intake differs from each baby. if ur kid is ok with this schedule , u can very well proceed with this ..
also i personely feel , its high time to start him with home made foods right? i can see u are giving him rice cereals twice ..y dont u try home made rice+dal+ghee ? also u can try some soup and juices ..

hi sharu,
i too leave my kid in daycare from past 1 month ...
yeah i give him boiled potato/carrot .
i peel them and cook it in cooker. its good to give them without salt.
also i boil pieces of carrot, baby corn and beans and grind them and add water and little salt and give him as soup.

i am not sure what else is listed as table food ..

I was blessed with a daughter 3 years back n I m really thankful to God for that.It was a c-sec delivery n I was alone with my baby as my husband was posted in field location.n I was clueless about bathing riutals. so I never applied UBTAN on her but now I realized she has too much hair on her legs, back n hands n on face too.

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
I have been busy since i joined work since Jan ,so my inlaws are here to help with kids.i terribley miss both kids during day.
