I totally agree w/Archana on the thot of no help from anyone & the pressure from family to have a \";son\";..they kind of put it very delicately that \";phir family complete ho jayegi\";..as if f'lies w/daughters aren't \";complete\";..how \";takiyanusi khayals\";..& then there are others who predict that next time definetly ladka hi hoga types...
& w/Pads that even my husband wasn't too keen on having a baby right now...I had to totally black mail him on the fact that increased paternal & maternal age may lead to complications wala lecture...so as a result my own feelings are totally anti child 2 right now..
I guess I expected too much from people...khair..I have this childhood dream of adopting a kid..infact at one point in college when I wa going thru' the no marriage for me phase I had visualised my life w/a kiddo which I had adopted..& I was quite vehement about this phase of my dream comming true..so lets see jab 30 yrs mein kuch bhi haasil nahi kiya so atleast I should keep one dream alive & work towards it..

I used to dream of adopting a girl too.. I've always thought of it and when i was going through the PCOS routine, i almost did it!!

When i was ruminating about this once Kich was born, my ma discouraged me, 'coz in India adoption is now very tough.. She says jinke kids nahin hein, unhe hi nahin mil raha he and that i shouldnt spoil their chances by standing in the line.

let's see. I also want to undo the C-sec feeling in my mind bu maybe having a 'successful', 'normal' delivery next time.

I'm worried though, 'coz i so want a girl baby and if it turns out to be a boy again....

Well, Radha's stuff about peer pressure about having a boy - my parents are from the matriarchy way (that's why i have my mom's name as my initials) and hubby's from patriarchy. MIL was thrilled to have a boy and we were all hoping for a girl!

The best way is to ignore these \";angootha jhaap\"; stuff!

Love to Tia!

Hi guys,

I have always wanted a girl as you know so was actually disappointed when I found out that I was having a boy! Of course my mom and my in-laws were ecstatic! Suddenly it seemed ki mere sasural mein meri izzat bar gayi as after all I am having a boy! MARWAAARIS are very very very very conservative abt boys and girls even though nowadays things seem to be changing even though the process is slow. My MIL is 100% nahi 300% sure that my second one will also be a boy..so I am not going to try as my heary will break if its a boy..have told Puneet abt adopting a girl but he is so damn adamamnt abt not doing that! Stupid fellow!! So the jury is still out about my second one..
As far as love for Papa is concerned my hubby claims that I have edipus complex...well the fact is that Papa jaisa doosra to koi hoyi nahi sakta is duniya mein, he is just made in a single piece na...when we first got married bahut prob hoti thi as there was a constant comparison in my head bet Puneet and Papa but now I have given up as no one (yes, not even my hubby) can ever measure up to him..Papa is still so romantic..he still gets Saris for Mummy on Diwali and their anniversary and Ma is so unromantic that I tell her you dont deserve him!!!!!!!!!!!!....Oh, am going to call him and wish him on father's day now..
Chalo then loadsa love Reena
