Its been long since we all discussed on a topic.

Wanted to know what food are you giving ur babies now..my daughter will complete 5 months this 25th and is already on 2 feeds of cerelac and 3 feeds of formula milk..

Hi everyone,
i have come after a long time just busy with my son who has completed 6months on 9th feb.what my docter said that till 6 months no need to give anything except bf & i followed that one more thing celeralc is not good for health.even docter dont suggest.give them natural food as far as possible.

nothing unusual is going to happen. they advice to give BF to a child for atleast six month coz its good for child, but if there is some prob there is no harm in govong formula milk.

How to give cereal??

Hi Roops and KT...just wanted to know how to u make the cereal for the baby....my daughter will complete 5 months on 5th feb and i am giving her one feed of cereal mixed with formula and usually 2 formula feeds. What else can i give my baby at this stage ?

When you say cereal, r u referring t Cerelac...you do not need to add milk to cerelac, just mix it with lukewarm water(boiled and cooled)..

I have started giving Yashita some pureed banana and Apple(boiled and then pureed)..can also give chickoo and papaya in pureed form..also, you can now give cerelac 2 times a day now..lunch and dinner..

Hi Roops,
It seems all the moms are busy with their babies and hardly get to this discusion board.
NEways, my son is going to complete 6 month on 3rd Feb. I am giving him 2 feed of lactogen, one feed of nestem rice and one feed of cerelac (wheat apple flavour).
In the afternoon i give him starch of rice or sago or pulse water. whatever is convinient.
My padi told me to give evryhting i eat to the baby.Can be boiled potato,carrots,Bottle Gourd(lauki),etc etc. so whenever i make these things, i give him these things in mashed form and in very less qty so that he starts knowing the taste.
One more thing i do is - I mix mashed banana or boiled apple(1/4th part)in his nestem rice and 1/4th teaspoon of almonds(fine grinded). in this way some fresh fruits also goes in his body.
thats it.
so what abt the wt of ur daughter?

Hi Shilpa..
if you have not tried yet, you can start giving cerelac or ragi porridge..i usually buy the ready made one called Pedifill which has ragi, grains, dry fruits and other stuff and it tastes great..
Since your son is 9 months old, you can actually start giving him some normal food like soft idlis, soft dosa, mashed rice and vegetables..u can also give fruit juices and milkshakes..

Hi All Moms!
I am new to this group. My son will be 9 months on 10´ th April. I tried giving him fruits but he don´ t. Initially when he was 6 months I was giving him chickoo and apple and he was eating it properly. But now he don´ t eat any fruit. IF I mix fruits with rice or anything else then he won´ t eat rice. Can anybody advice what should I do? ALso what else I can feed him?

Thanks KT for sharing the info..its been 2 weeks since i checked her weight, she was 6.32kgs...i feel no matter how much she eats or drinks, she is not putting on much weight..

I asker her paed and she said that Yashita is having good weight gain and not to worry..
