Hi
Need some help on bottle feeding. Like I said, have been trying to feed my son with lactogen. Since 2 days he is taking about 50-60ml, not a drop more than that. That too he is taking only once in a day. He is now into 5thmonth. As per directions, he should be taking about 180ml or so. Please let me know how do I handle this. Should I feed him with the bottle quite often or is this ok. How did u start off and how often did u feed & how much quantity?
Please help, u'r tips may be of great help to me as I have to join work ASAP.

i agree w/komal..
i also top feed her w/cereal(ceralac type) twice a day 2 tbs-rice in the evening & oats in the morning..plus she also has 1 jar of baby food at lunch time..peas/sweet potatoes/carrots..i'm planning to start 1 jar of baby fruits in th eeveining since she remains hungry & no more enjoys milk...she is totally formula feed too..

i think you mean 50-60 ml at a time right? And this is accompanied with breast feeding rest of the day.?Try feeding him with the bottle more number of times...since some kids may not take a large amount at one time.
My daughter is totally formula fed and she too takes about 60ml (sometimes 90ml) at one time and then after an hour or so takes about 30-60 ml again then after a break of about 2-21/2 hours the whole cycle starts again. So in 4 hours totally she has about 90-120 ml(4 Oz). Her doctor said that is ok.
