try changing formula brand, it might help. when i started my dd at 9th month with formula, she refused..she would just spit it off. i finally managed to get enfimil into her system !! similac she didnt like..
try changing formula, might help.
try easy transition, mix formula and milk and give, slwly decrease the amount of milk and increase formula proportion,,slowly baby will accept it !
bf babies often take a while to accept outside milk..

lavanya - Use Dr Brown's bottle. They are the best. It will certainly help. I use Level 2.

How are you? Good to see your message. Raghav is also picky; same as Prisha he only eats oatmeal cereal. He also eats few Veggies and fruits. I have tried to feed him even if he doesn't like; he throws up. Anyway I started Khichdi with little salt and ghee; he likes it now.
About the formula; he also doesn't drink much at one time. As he likes the breast milk better but my mother gives him more times like she gives three ounces than after sometimes she will give another three ounces. Also make sure you use level three nipples for the bottle. We use Dr.Brown's bottle and we get different level like 0 to 3 months 3 to 6 and 6 to 9..so milk goes fast and she can finish it soon. At this age sometimes they are more in to playing and exploring so they want to be done with food soon. But nursing is different so they can more time with mom. Also you can give her more formula with cereal like making little bit liquid...
I asked my doc about the milk/formula intake; she told if he/she drinks around 12 to 15 ounces in day its fine. Because they do eat other stuff...

Write us about Prish's activates...
Love to Prisha!!
Take Care..

Hi Lavanya ,

I have the similar problem . My son doesnt drink from bottle , so he is depended more on my milk . I am thinking of weaning him soon , so I breast feed him less and give him solids more .
For formula , as he doesnt drink from bottle I try to feed him around 3 ounces from a cup in the morning and evening and then I put more formula milk in his cereals, raagi or in mashed banana etc. I even give him biscuits soaked in milk etc.You can also try making milkshakes etc. So in this way I try feeding him formula .

Love to Prisha .
Take care ,
Disha.
