Milestones:My Baby weighed 4.5kgs at birth

Hi I am Priya here my son Param was born on 6th Jan 2004. He weighed 4.5kgs.

Doctor says he is a rare case. I want to know whether there are other babies out there who weigh this much.

So parents please clear my curiousty.

Actually my brother (who is 29 now) was 4.5 Kgs at birth and my mom had a tough time with the delivery. He was born in India and even in those days the doctor said that it was a rare case! Overall, he is like any normal man. Basically my mom was fed very well by her in-laws and hence the baby gained a lot of weight :)

theres nothing to worry. infact you should be happy that you got a healthy baby and weighing so much. its normal and common.
if you are still in doubt always take opions of another doctor for whatever the case many be.

My son was 4.25 kgs when born. Think that you have ahd good food.. rich in everything when the baby was inside....and so he is real healthy...

If you are in India, then may be it is a rare thing and I am not sure. I live in US and I have heard about my friend's babies weighing more than yours. Most of them Americans and some Indians too.
So Don't worry. It is perfectly normal as long as the baby is healthy and active.

My son is one year old and he is not doing few things a one year should do !!
He does not point at things
He does not say Amma or any words
He does not pick up any objects and show to me

9.5 months milestones
My DS is 9.5 months old and does not clap wave or point at things !! I will put down a list which he is good at and which one worries me.
